壬二酸 Azelaic Acid

Azelex (azelaic acid cream) 20% is indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris. Finacea (azelaic acid) Gel, 15% is indicated for topical treatment of inflammatory papules and pustules of mild to moderate rosacea.

Azelaic acid is regulated in the EU as a topical medicinal product for acne and rosacea (e.g. Skinoren, Finacea) and, at lower concentrations, as a cosmetic ingredient; it is not the subject of an EFSA food health claim.

Topical azelaic acid is an option for treating acne and for the papules and pustules of rosacea.
