Finding: Konjac glucomannan group showed significant improvements in PAC-SYM, PAC-QoL, BMF, and BFI vs placebo (p<0.05 all); increased microbial alpha-diversity and beneficial bacteria.

Finding: No significant difference in treatment success vs placebo (RR 0.95, 95% CI 0.6-1.4); stool consistency improved at week 1 (p<0.0001) but worsened at week 3 (p=0.008); abdominal pain increased in glucomannan group (p=0.04 and p<0.0001).
